As part of the prize the winners had the exciting opportunity to experience their project in virtual reality (VR) at the and, additionally, received a piece of USM furniture. Finally, they will be invited to visit the headquarters of in Münsingen, Switzerland, and explore the spectacular Buchli residence.

In the words of the jury:
"The winning project proposes a different use of furniture by generating a large continuous plinth, like a 'ring' of a single color on a work scale, while the upper part creates a much lighter structure for storage and subdivision of spaces. It captures the concept of a future workspace as a large work community. It is also a very radical and pleasant presentation."

Katrin Eckert is creative director at USM, a leader in brand development and innovation towards a sustainable future.
With a career of almost thirty years as an architect, she has made her mark in public and private housing projects. Specializing in the retail sector, she has led architecture departments of renowned international brands. Now, within USM, she explores the boundaries of the home and workplace, identifying the changing needs of people.
Her goal is to transform the environmental impact and the way we work and live through USM's modular system.
