Metàfora alumni at Art Nou Festival ✨
We’re happy to share some moments from *En el principio, Dios creó Internet*, a performance-installation by Ellie Salyers , Joely Lorenzen and Anna Floto .200cent , presented as part of Art Nou 2025.
Art Nou is Barcelona and L’Hospitalet’s emerging art festival, creating spaces of encounter between young artists, galleries, independent spaces, institutions and the wider public.
It is always special to see former Metàfora students continue developing their artistic practice and taking part in the city’s contemporary art scene.

As the course comes to an end, we look back at last week’s Open Studios, a celebration of process, experimentation, and creative growth.
Students opened their workspaces and shared the projects they have been developing throughout the semester, from painting and sculpture to installation, video, ceramics, and performance.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and congratulations to all our students for sharing their work with such generosity. 🧡

The Summer Block at Metàfora is a flexible short-term program designed for artists who want to keep creating, learning, and experimenting throughout the summer months.
With classes seven days a week, open studios until 23:00, and access to our outdoor patios and working spaces, students can fully immerse themselves in art production while experiencing Barcelona’s creative scene alongside a community of international artists and tutors.
A summer of sun, process, experimentation, and artistic growth.
