An Artistic Dialogue

A dear friend, Mattia, dedicated a poem to me that I consider extraordinary. Inspired by his words, I gave shape to his imagination through an illustration, thus fulfilling a dream we had shared for a long time.
This collaboration is an artistic dialogue that continues to nurture our friendship, pushing us to inspire each other.

Metamorfosi

Tutti noi, alla fine, subiamo una metamorfosi, a parer mio,
con la differenza che i cambiamenti
avvengono all’interno.

La “crisalide” è paragonabile a un periodo di riflessione,
dove la nostra voglia di cambiare è un miscuglio
tra coraggio e timore.

Restiamo chiusi in un involucro di nome tempo,
che ci protegge, perché tanto c’è una vita davanti.
Ma i giorni passano, e prima o poi
lo stelo non regge più il peso dei sogni.

A quel punto… o voli, o cadi.

Se hai sfruttato bene il tempo per riflettere,
ti troverai un paio d’ali che ti faranno volare.
In caso contrario, cadrai per terra…
senza poter né volare né strisciare.

Credo che tutto ciò dipenda da una cosa:
sentire un vuoto.

È il vuoto che ci porta a volare…
Sentire il nulla sotto i nostri passi
aiuta il nostro cuore a fabbricare le ali.

Uniqueness and Transformation

Among the prints I have selected for the exhibition, I present four versions of a butterfly: identical in shape but distinct in color.
Perhaps the concept of “uniqueness” suggests that, despite our differences, we are expressions of the same essence?

To protect these prints, I chose a folder whose opening symbolically recalls the hatching of a chrysalis:
a tear that marks the passage to freedom.

Untying the knot is the first step to spreading your wings and flying.
