After yesterdays launch at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, our new film is now live! This is episode 3 of the series, Dystonia Animated, and follows the journey of Sam as she tell us about her experiences of deep brain stimulation surgery. As you can imagine by the name, it is not a surgery that is undergone lightly. So a challenging topic to make a film about.
These films are aimed specifically at children that are affected by the condition dystonia, but are also designed to work on another level for their families. That means many hours of detailed discussions with families, children, Drs, clinicians, surgeons, scientists and the amazing team at Dystonia UK. People's lived experiences are weaved into the scripts. And we are truly thankful for those that take the time out to be part of this project. And of course, truly humbled to be given this opportunity to be part of it.
