🇪🇸 En hay una generación de ingenieras jóvenes que desarrollan tecnología submarina para proteger nuestra seguridad y el entorno marino. Este año queremos que se las vea, y empezamos por darles voz en este reportaje del diario La Verdad:

Visibilizar a las más jóvenes es una de las formas de despertar vocaciones (ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería, artes y matemáticas), porque los estereotipos sobre quién hace ingeniería se forman antes de elegir itinerario en el instituto. Por eso nuestras ingenieras mentorizan y dan charlas en centros educativos: que una alumna vea a una ingeniera explicando su trabajo real vale más que cualquier campaña. Es la idea de +Científicas, que desarrollamos con la UPCT Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena desde 2021. Y es lo que defendió una de nuestras ingenieras esta semana en la mesa redonda del III Encuentro Día de la Mujer en la Ingeniería del Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Industriales de la Región de Murcia (COIIRM) y Business Women RM:

Esa convicción sostiene lo de dentro: un Plan de Igualdad con más de 30 medidas, la adhesión a la Carta de la Diversidad y un 21 % de mujeres en plantilla —17 % en perfiles técnicos— en un sector históricamente masculino. Equipos con perspectivas distintas diseñan mejor ingeniería. En palabras del presidente de , José Javier Mármol Peñalver: "contar con el talento femenino es una palanca de innovación y una forma de responder mejor a los retos que tenemos delante. Seguiremos acercando las carreras STEM a las jóvenes y trabajando por un sector más diverso e inclusivo".

Giving visibility to younger women is one of the most effective ways to spark interest in STEAM careers (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics), as stereotypes about who “belongs” in engineering are often shaped before students even choose their academic path at secondary school.

That’s why our engineers mentor and speak in schools: for a student to see a real engineer explaining her work has far more impact than any campaign. That’s the idea behind +Científicas, which we have been running with since 2021. It’s also what one of our engineers highlighted this week during the round table at the III Meeting for International Women in Engineering Day, organised by and Business Women RM.

🇪🇸 En una fase clave del proyecto europeo , SAES ha participado en su 5ª Asamblea General, celebrada recientemente en Tallin (Estonia), junto al resto de entidades del consorcio. El encuentro ha servido para avanzar en la coordinación de los distintos paquetes de trabajo y, especialmente, para alinear los próximos pasos hacia la demostración final del sistema, que tendrá lugar en octubre de 2026 en Alemania.

SWAT-SHOAL tiene como objetivo desarrollar un innovador Sistema de Sistemas (SoS), en el que múltiples vehículos autónomos operan de forma coordinada para dar respuesta a misiones complejas como , reconocimiento, de minas o apoyo a operaciones anfibias. En este contexto, desempeña un papel relevante en el proyecto, aportando su conocimiento en y tecnologías avanzadas basadas en y algoritmos inteligentes. Además, hemos liderado el WP5, centrado en analizar las tecnologías actuales, identificar oportunidades de mejora y definir la hoja de ruta necesaria para impulsar la evolución del sistema.

Nuestra participación en este proyecto europeo refuerza el compromiso de SAES con la aplicada al entorno marítimo y el desarrollo de capacidades avanzadas para su y .

🇬🇧 At a key stage of the European project, SAES has taken part in its 5th General Assembly, recently held in Tallinn (Estonia), alongside the other members of the consortium. The meeting provided an opportunity to further coordinate the various work packages and, in particular, to align the next steps towards the system’s final demonstration, scheduled to take place in October 2026 in Germany.

SWAT-SHOAL aims to develop an innovative System of Systems (SoS), in which multiple autonomous vehicles operate in a coordinated manner to address complex missions such as , reconnaissance, mine , and support to amphibious operations. Within this framework, SAES plays a significant role in the project, contributing its expertise in as well as advanced technologies based on and intelligent algorithms. In addition, SAES has led WP5, focused on analysing current technologies, identifying opportunities for improvement, and defining the roadmap required to drive the system’s evolution.

SAES’s participation in this European project further reinforces its commitment to in the maritime domain and to the development of advanced capabilities for maritime and .

🇪🇸 El pasado 28 de mayo, SAES estuvo presente en el Arrow MultiSolution Day de IFEMA Madrid, un encuentro que reunió a más de 60 fabricantes internacionales para presentar las últimas en semiconductores, electrónica avanzada, IoT (internet de las cosas) e inteligencia artificial aplicada al hardware.

A lo largo de la jornada, el equipo tuvo la oportunidad de asistir a sesiones técnicas y conocer nuevas soluciones para defensa y para la integración de machine learning en , así como intercambiar conocimiento con el ecosistema industrial y explorar nuevas vías de colaboración tecnológica. Eventos como este refuerzan nuestra capacidad de integrar de vanguardia en los desarrollos para , y de infraestructuras críticas que desarrollamos para clientes en los 5 continentes.
