Fuengirola plans to install more than 1,000 LED public lights 💡💡

👉The new plans, which will be implemented in 16 streets, will give a 40% saving in the electricity cost.

👉The estimated cost is around 770,000 euros.

👉The measure is co-financed by European funds and seeks to improve energy efficiency in Fuengirola.

The new lighting devices will have a remote management system, which allows the intensity of the lighting to be adapted according to a schedule or when finding faults in the lighting network.

The replacement of the current lights with LEDs ones will reduce the consumption by 105.78 tons of oil (equivalent per year) and stop the generation of 473.55 tons of CO2 per year.

📅 The work is due to begin in September 2021 and take 75 days to complete.

False "kidnapping message" circulate about Miramar, Fuengirola

The National Police have dismissed a social media post as a hoax, with the claims of attempted abduction dismissed as false.

The worrying message has been shared more than 1000 times across social media platforms and numerous WhatsApp groups.

The message warns “Attention parents in the Miramar Shopping Centre in Fuengirola, there have already been two attempts to kidnap children”.
