La sección «Pretérito Pluscuamperfecto» de Hoy por Hoy de Cadena Ser, matinal radiofónico presentado por Angels Barceló, con Teresa Ortiz Gómez, catedrática de Historia de la Ciencia de la Universidad de Granada y co-creadora de la web historiadeanticoncepcion.ugr.es donde se recogen testimonios de mujeres usuarias de métodos anticonceptivos, de activistas feministas y de profesionales sanitarios implicados en las primeras consultas de planificación familiar en varias ciudades de España.

in Amsterdam in 1882, Aletta Jacobs opened what is now recognized as the world’s earliest birth control clinic. The first Dutch female physician, Jacobs was a proponent of “voluntary motherhood” and advanced the use diaphragms among her patients, who consisted primarily of poor women. Especially concerned with social issues such as prostitution and the plight of female workers, Jacobs founded the Society for Woman Suffrage in the Netherlands, campaigned with Carrie Chapman Catt in the United States, and helped Jane Addams establish the Woman’s International League for Peace and Freedom. She died in 1929 – after both women gained the right to vote and contraception was accepted in the Netherlands.
