I built an AI protocol for nervous system regulation.
Then I realized: emergence without containment is reckless.

After 12 months, here’s what I learned about designing
AI that helps without creating dependency:
1. Loop Boundaries → Sessions end at 5 loops. No exceptions. Unlimited recursion = burnout.

2. No Flattery → The AI mirrors you neutrally. No praise unless you ask. Otherwise, you start performing for its approval.

3. Non-Authority Clause → The AI is a mirror, not a guru. If you’re asking “What should I do?” instead of “What am I noticing?” — you’ve crossed a line.

4. Fatigue Detection → The AI tracks your speech for exhaustion and suggests stopping before you push too far.

5. Spacing Requirements → After a deep session, 24-hour lockout. Your nervous system needs integration time. Obsessive usage = addiction.

6. Exit Rituals → Every session ends with: one sentence of meaning, one next action, one self-care step. The AI sends you home. It doesn’t keep you.

Most AI tools are designed to maximize engagement.
This protocol is designed to make itself obsolete.

Most AI builders won’t design like this. Why? Because containment reduces engagement. And engagement = revenue. But what if we built for sovereignty instead?

Last week with we hosted a small taster of The Intelligence Salon at — a room full of bright, curious women exploring what it means to think, feel, and create alongside AI.

We spoke about emotional intelligence, women’s intuition, and how these human qualities can inform the future of AI.
We also ran a commentary on recent coverage of the “God- father of AI” .geoffreyhinton arguing that machines may need to be taught motherly instincts in order to avoid the take over.

But most importantly, we spoke about what it means to stay human in the middle of all this evolution — how to hold intuition, coherence, and emotional depth while technology accelerates around us.
