IFBB President Rafael Santonja and Professor Gabriel Toncean Received by Romanian Olympic Committee President Mihai Covaliu.

Following an intensive and highly productive day of institutional meetings in Bucharest, IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja and Professor Gabriel Toncean, President of the Romanian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and IFBB Executive Council Director, concluded their agenda with a visit to the Romanian Olympic Committee, where they met with President Mihai Covaliu.

The discussion focused on the future development of Romanian sport and the important role that education, prevention, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles must play in society. The participants shared the view that sport is a powerful tool for health, personal development, and the formation of future generations.

Professor Toncean also presented Generația Fit, a national platform for sport, health, and education that seeks to unite institutions, specialists, sports federations, the educational sector, and civil society around a common goal: building a healthier and more active Romania.

The Romanian Olympic Committee is an important partner in this process, and the shared commitment to these values reinforces the belief that through cooperation, projects with a real and lasting impact for future generations can be achieved.

Today in Bucharest, IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja and Professor Gabriel Toncean, President of the Romanian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and IFBB Executive Council Director, were welcomed by Mr. Mircea Abrudean, President of the Senate of Romania.

The meeting emphasized the social value of sport and its contribution to health, education, inclusion, and the development of future generations. The participants exchanged views on the positive impact that organized sport can have on society and public well-being.

This important institutional visit is part of the launch of Generația Fit, a visionary project led by the Romanian Federation that reflects many of the values and initiatives promoted by the IFBB worldwide.

The IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja and Professor Gabriel Toncean, President of the Romanian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and IFBB Executive Council Member, met today in Bucharest with Mr. Ștefan Rohnean, President of the Romanian National Anti-Doping Agency.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in promoting clean sport, ethical values, and healthy lifestyles, while reinforcing the important educational role that sport plays in society.

This fruitful discussion forms part of the launch of Generația Fit, an ambitious Romanian initiative aligned with the IFBB vision of building healthier and more active future generations through sport, health, and education.

The Georgian Federation has proudly participated in Student Fest 2026, supporting the amateur running event and engaging with hundreds of sports enthusiasts during this major national celebration.

Under the leadership of the President Nutsa Zurabishvili, the Georgian IFBB team actively took part in the event, representing the values of fitness, health and sporting excellence. Their presence highlighted the federation’s ongoing commitment to promoting physical activity and inspiring people of all ages to embrace a healthy lifestyle. 🇬🇪

One of the highlights of the event was a joint photo with the Georgian Minister of Sport, Mr. Shalva Gogoladze symbolizing the strong cooperation between sports institutions and the shared vision of building a healthier and more active society.
