📣 Thinking of moving to Spain but not sure whether to apply for the Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV) or the Digital Nomad Visa (DNV)?
Both are great options — but they suit different lifestyles and work situations.
💬 Here’s a simple side-by-side comparison to help you figure out which one fits your plans best
🧠 Quick tip:
Go for NLV if you don’t plan to work and have stable passive income.
Go for DNV if you work remotely for clients outside of Spain.

What a busy and exciting week it's been, both professionally and personally! 🇪🇸☀️
This week we celebrated:
✅ A couple of successful NLV renewal approvals
✅ 3 Consulate appointments in the USA
✅ 5 NLV renewal applications submitted
✅ Several TIE appointments completed
A photo was taken with one of my clients after their TIE appointment – always a great moment when another step of the Spain journey is completed! 🎉
Away from work, there has been plenty to celebrate too. The Club World Cup kicked off yesterday and, with my son being a huge football fan, we enjoyed watching the opening game together. ⚽
Staying with football, Málaga CF had a huge match in their quest for promotion to the First Division... and they won! 💙🤍 What a result for the city!
We also enjoyed our first pool day of the year 🏊♂️☀️, and to top it all off, my husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this week ❤️. We'll be marking the occasion properly this weekend.
So yes... a lot to celebrate!
This could be your life in Spain too!
Dream. Make it happen. Relax.

What a great couple of days spent with Bea and Paul from filming and talking all about visas, residencies, and how to move to Spain 🇪🇸
Thank you both so much for your amazing hospitality and for showing me around beautiful Valencia. It was such a pleasure!
I also had the chance to meet a few of our wonderful clients in person who we helped move from the US to Valencia on the Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV). Thank you Shannon, Chris, and Robert for a lovely lunch — it was fantastic to hear how well you’re settling into life in Spain.

☀️🍉 What Should You Eat During the Months Without an “R”?
In Spain, there’s a famous old saying about seafood and the “months without an R” — May, June, July and August 🇪🇸🐟
Traditionally, people avoided certain shellfish during these months because refrigeration wasn’t as advanced, and many species were in their breeding season. But the good news is… summer also brings some of the BEST seasonal foods ✨
Here are some favourites to enjoy during the warmer months 👇
🐟 Seasonal fish
Sardines, tuna (bonito del norte), anchovies and mackerel are at their freshest and most flavourful in summer.
🦀 Summer seafood
Some seafood is actually perfect this time of year — like spider crabs, goose barnacles and prawns.
🌶️ Fresh local vegetables
Tomatoes, Padrón peppers, courgettes, lettuce and green beans are all in season and full of flavour.
🍉 Refreshing summer fruits
Watermelon, melon, peaches, plums and apricots help keep you cool and hydrated during the Spanish heat ☀️
One of the best things about living in Spain is learning to enjoy food with the seasons — fresh, local and full of tradition ❤️
💬 We’d love to know:
👉 What’s your favourite summer food in Spain?
👉 Have you tried sardines on the beach yet?
