There are voices… and then there are voices that define generations.

Asha Bhosle was one of those rare voices.

The versatility, the emotion, the effortless way she moved between genres — from classical to cabaret, from soul to playfulness — is something very few artists in the world have ever been able to do.

Growing up, I was completely drawn to her voice. It wasn’t just the sound… it was the feeling behind it. The expression, the storytelling, the individuality.

She has been one of my biggest inspirations as a singer, and someone I’ve always looked up to creatively.

Devastating to hear of her passing this weekend… truly the end of an era.
