Spanish Costa Blanca - a dream for people with passion for sailing

It´s the highlight of the year - the "Regata Copa Astoria and Travesía Cabo Roig", organized by the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja (RCNT). 52 sailboats in diferent classes (ORC 1 to 4, Promoción) and about 300 crew members participated in this year´s edition on 15th of august, with the winners being "SY Fandango 300" (Copa Astoria) and "SY Maverta" (Travesía Cabo Roig).

For all participants it was a tough regata day, being on board if having participated in both regatas more than eight hours. Wind conditions were acceptable, with 8 knots from Levante. The spanish Costa Blanca is one of the best all year round sailing regions in the mediterranean, with 3.200 hours of sun and steady winds.

Torrevieja is proud to have one of the largest marinas in Europe, with about 2.300 berths distributed in RCNT, Marina International and Marina Salinas.
