The second half of May was unusually busy, so my monthly blog post arrived a little later than planned.

This month I’m sharing a few design ideas I brought home from Casa Decor, not the spectacular ones, but those that might inspire our own homes. Some of them are probably easier to recreate than you might think.

Yesterday brought a lovely visit from here at Home Redressed.

We talked through materials, textures, finishes, colour directions, and some of the trends shaping interiors right now.

There is something fascinating about the amount of thought, technology and design it takes to create surfaces that look this effortless.

I am always grateful for the chance to explore finishes in real life.

I’ve always been drawn to color, long before I started working with it. For as long as I can remember.

It’s part of how I see and understand the world. It has a way of shaping how I feel without me even noticing. It’s how I remember moments and places long after I’ve left them.

It’s nice to have a day that celebrates it.
