🎶 A few moments from La Vesprada, the first of our 2026 Commencement Concerts.

Featuring students from Berklee Valencia's Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration) master's program, the concert brought together original compositions with music by Jorge Drexler, the X, Richard Galliano, and Peter Gabriel—blending singer-songwriter influences, indie pop, jazz improvisation, and cinematic rock into one unforgettable evening✨

This year's Commencement celebrations were made even more special by the presence of distinguished alumna and two-time Grammy Award winner Carla Patullo. ✨

As part of the celebrations, Carla joined our community at Berklee Valencia's Aula Magna on July 5, where she treated us to a beautiful performance featuring music from her Grammy Award-winning album Nomadica before joing dean of Academic Affairs Blair Stevenson for a conversation about her creative journey, artistic process, and career. On July 6, she returned as Distinguished Alumna Speaker during the Commencement Ceremony, encouraging the Class of 2026 to stay curious, embrace the unexpected, and trust their own voice as they begin the next chapter of their creative journeys.

The ceremony included the presentation of an honorary Doctor of Music degree to Grammy Award-winning composer and conductor Eric Whitacre, along with an inspiring address from distinguished alumna and two-time Grammy Award winner Carla Patullo.
