የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ አስደናቂም ተአምረኛም ሕዝብ ነው። ከፈጣሪ በቀር ሕዝባችንን አሟልቶ ሊያውቅና ሊገመግም የሚችል ማን ነው? የዳበረ ባህል፣ ሀገር ወዳድና የወል መሻቱን መጠበቅ የሚችል ሕዝብ መሆኑን በዘንድሮው ምርጫ ዳግም ለዓለም አሳይቷል። በዛሬው ታሪካዊ ዕለት፡-

• የሌሊቱ ብርድና ጨለማ ያላስፈራቸው፣
• የቀትሩ ፀሐይና ድንገተኛ ዝናብ ያልበገራቸው
• ሠርግ፣ ኀዘን፣ ወሊድና ሌሎች ማኅበራዊ ሁነቶች ያላገዳቸው፣
• ረጃጅም ሰልፎች ያላታከታቸው፣
• የአካል ጉዳት ድምጽ ለመስጠት ያልገደባቸው፣
• ሕመም እና እርጅና የሀገር ተስፋን ከማየት ያላገዳቸው፣
• የነገ ሀገር ተረካቢ ጨቅላ ልጃቸውን ማዘል ያላደከማቸው፣
• ከምንም በላይ የጠላት ጩኸትና ማስፈራሪያ ያላስቆማቸው ዜጎች፤

በብዙ ውጣ ውረዶች መካከል (against all odds) ያሳያችሁት ጽናት ለዴሞክራሲና ለሀገር ሕልውና የተከፈለ ነውና ከልብ የመነጨ ምስጋና ይገባቸዋል፡፡

ይሄንን ሕዝብ ማገልገል መታደል ነውና ተመራጮች ያከበራችሁን አክብራችሁ ለዴሞክራሲ ሥርዓት ዋጋ የከፈለውን ይሄንን ሕዝብ በንጽሕና ለማገልገል ያብቃችሁ።

The people of Ethiopia are an extraordinary and remarkable people. Other than the Creator, who can truly know and assess our people in their entirety? Through this year’s election, Ethiopians have once again shown the world that they are a people with a rich culture, deep patriotism, and the ability to safeguard the common good.

On this historic day:

* Citizens who were not intimidated by the cold and darkness of the night,
* Who were not deterred by the midday sun or sudden rain,
* Whom weddings, funerals, childbirth, and other social obligations did not prevent from participating,
* Who were not wearied by long lines,
* Whose physical disabilities did not stop them from casting their vote,
* Those whose illness and old age did not prevent from witnessing the hope of their country,
* Who were not exhausted by carrying their infant children; the future inheritors of the nation,
* And above all, whom the shouting and threats of enemies could not intimidate or stop;

The perseverance you demonstrated amid many challenges and hardships, against all odds, was a contribution made for democracy and for the very survival of the nation. For this, you deserve heartfelt gratitude.

It is a privilege to serve such a people. Therefore, may those who have been elected honor the trust placed in them and serve this people, with integrity and sincerity! A people

በአዲስ ከተማ ክ/ከተማ የድምፅ አሰጣጥ ሂደት በአመሻሹም ቀጥሏል

በክፍለ ከተማው በሚገኙ የምርጫ ጣቢያዎች 7ኛው ሀገራዊ ጠቅላላ ምርጫ የድምፅ አሰጣጥ ሒደቱ በአመሻሹም ተጠናክሮ እንደቀጠለ ነው።

​የኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ ምርጫ ቦርድ መራጩ ህዝብ በሙሉ መርጦ እስኪያጠናቅቅ ድረስ የድምፅ አሰጣጥ ሰዓቱን ማራዘሙን ተከትሎ በአሁኑ ሰዓትም በክፍለ ከተማው በሚገኘው በእያንዳንዱ የምርጫ ጣቢያ ሂደቱ በሰላማዊ ሁኔታ እየተከናወነ ይገኛል

ምርጫው ሰላማዊ፣ ዴሞክራሲያዊና ነጻ በሆነ መንገድ እየተካሄደ ነው - የአዲስ አበባ የፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎች የጋራ ም/ቤት

7ኛው ጠቅላላ ምርጫ ሰላማዊ፣ ዴሞክራሲያዊና ነጻ በሆነ መንገድ እየተከናወነ መሆኑን የአዲስ አበባ ከተማ የፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎች የጋራ ምክር ቤት አስታወቀ።

ምክር ቤቱ ይህንን የገለጸው በኢትዮጵያ የምርጫ ታሪክ ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ በተቋቋመውና የምርጫ ሂደቱን በቀጥታ በሚከታተልበት የክትትል ክፍል በሰጠው መግለጫ ነው።

በመግለጫው፤ መራጩ ሕዝብ የዴሞክራሲ ሥርዓት እንዲሰፍን ከፍተኛ ጨዋነት በተሞላበት መልኩ ከሌሊቱ 9 ሰዓት ጀምሮ ከቤቱ በመውጣት ድምፅ ሲሰጥ መቆየቱን ጠቅሶ ለዚህም ምስጋና አቅርቧል።

የፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎች አማራጭ ሐሳባቸውንና ርዕዮተ-ዓለማቸውን በመገናኛ ብዙኃን አማካኝነት ካስተዋወቁ በኋላ ከፍተኛ ቁጥር ያለው ሕዝብ ለመራጭነት መመዝገቡን ያስታወሰው ምክር ቤቱ፣ ዛሬ እስከ እኩለ ቀን ባለው ሂደትም ሂደቱ ፍጹም ሰላማዊ ሆኖ መዋሉን ገልጿል።

ምክር ቤቱ በሁሉም ክፍለ ከተሞች ባለው መዋቅር አማካኝነት መረጃዎችን ሲለዋወጥና ሂደቱን ሲከታተል እንደነበር የጠቆመ ሲሆን፤ እስካሁን ባለው ሂደት የጸጥታ አካላት፣ ታዛቢዎች እንዲሁም በጎ ፈቃደኞች እያደረጉ ባለው ገለልተኛ አገልግሎት መደሰቱንም አስታውቋል።

በቀሪው የድምፅ አሰጣጥ ሂደትም ህዝቡ እስካሁን ባለው ጨዋነትና ትዕግሥት የዜግነት ግዴታውን እንዲወጣ የጋራ ምክር ቤቱ ጥሪውን አቅርቧል።
