✨At the AfriCreative Future Forum, participants came together for powerful conversations on Africa’s future — exploring how restitution, reparatory justice, peacebuilding, and South-South cooperation are all deeply connected. Across the different sessions, one thing stood out clearly: shaping Africa’s future means reclaiming its history, strengthening solidarity, and investing in the next generation. 🌍
Some of the key messages that emerged included:
🔹 Restitution and repatriation are not only about the return of artefacts, but about dignity, justice, memory, and reclaiming Africa’s cultural and intellectual heritage.
🔹 Reparatory justice is central to restoring historical truth and ensuring Africa can define its own narratives and future.
🔹 Young people are not just beneficiaries of peacebuilding — they are active drivers of peace, prevention, social cohesion, and transformation. ✊🏾
🔹 South-South cooperation remains a powerful tool for strengthening ties, sharing knowledge, and advancing common efforts on restoration, justice, and decolonial action. 🤝
🔹 Building a more peaceful, just, and inclusive future for Africa requires both historical justice and youth-led action.
Together, these conversations carried one powerful message: Africa’s future will be shaped not only by remembering the past, but by acting collectively in the present — with young people, justice, and solidarity at the centre.
