With a strong focus on educational programming, services provided at the Center include the following:
• Meals three times a day between Monday and Saturday
• 70%-100% of children’s medical bills covered
• An after school tutoring program during the school year
• Summer camp programs; including recreational sports activities
• Educational and technology training
• School fees for local private school covered
• Educational materials (uniforms, backpacks, books etc.)
• Shower room for hygiene and clean clothes
• New clothes on quarterly bases
• Regular trainings for mothers (behavioural, parenting, financial and vocational)
The Meklit Center exists to be a vessel for all those who enter our door. Our ultimate goal is to empower each and every one of the young children and mothers by providing the resources needed to maintain a sustainable lifestyle. We aim to ensure that all our services are a reflection of God's love.
