Today on International Women’s Day (March 8) we celebrate the strength, courage, and dreams of the girls in our Hold My Hand family. 💜

Many of these girls came from very difficult situations, but today they are in school, growing, laughing, and building a future full of hope. We believe that when you support a girl, you help change a whole generation.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who prayed, shared, and contributed to our GoFundMe campaign, which helped us pay the girls’ house rent for the next 6 months. Your kindness is giving these girls a safe home, education, and the opportunity to dream again.

To everyone who supports this mission — thank you for standing with our girls and believing in their future.

From the streets of Piassa to author, college student & independent young woman 🎓📚✨

Tigist joined Hold My Hand in March 2021 as one of our first girls. She was living on the streets of Piassa, facing a life no child should ever experience.

For the past 5 years, she has received holistic support — counseling, education, life skills training, short courses, spiritual mentorship, and daily care.

Today…

✅ She graduated Grade 12
✅ She is now a college student at Admas University (night program)
✅ She works full-time during the day
✅ She has written TWO full books 📚

Yes — two books.

A girl who once lived on the streets is now an author.

She works in building materials and tool control at a construction site during the day, and attends college at night. We are deeply thankful to Helen for giving Tigist this job opportunity.

And now… she has officially moved out and started her independent life 🏠✨

Hold My Hand is:

🏠 Paying her house rent for the next 3 months
🎓 Covering her college school fees
🛏️ Providing all basic household materials
🛒 Covering groceries for the next 3 months

This is what real transformation looks like.

Street girl → Graduate → Author → Worker → College student → Independent woman.
