Dear friends, family, and fellow citizens,
In the quiet moments of reflection that my own life’s journey has afforded me, I often find myself thinking about the invisible threads that bind us all together. We live in a time where it is easy to retreat into our own lives, but history has shown us that no "pond" is truly safe when the village around it is in flames.
I want to share a short story that serves as a vital reminder of our shared responsibility.
LESSON OF THE TWO FROGS 🐸🔥
Near a quiet pond lived two frogs, kin and lifelong companions. One afternoon, the village beside them caught fire. The air grew thick with smoke, and the cries of the people for help reached the water’s edge.
The first frog immediately turned toward the bank:
"We must go. Our neighbors are suffering, and we cannot stand by while they lose everything."
The second frog didn't move. Resting in the cool shade, he replied:
"Why risk our lives? We are safe here in the water. The fire cannot touch us. Why sacrifice our comfort for a struggle that isn't ours?"
The first frog looked back with a heavy heart: "Safety built on indifference is hollow. We are all part of one community; to ignore their pain is to invite our own destruction." She then left the safety of the reeds to help.
In the frantic scramble to save their homes, the villagers rushed to the pond with buckets. In the chaos, the frog who stayed behind , the one who chose his own comfort over the call of duty was scooped up in a bucket and thrown directly into the heart of the fire.
As the heat rose, his final realization was a bitter one: "I feel the pain I chose to ignore... I thought my silence would protect me, but it only left me vulnerable."

# # # REFLECTING ON OUR SHARED PATH ✨
This is a lesson we must take to heart, especially today. We must remain consistent and unified in our stance against those in power who prioritize their own gain over the people’s welfare.
When officials or their supporters choose the "comfort" of corruption and turn a blind eye to the suffering of the public, they fail to realize the true nature of selfishness. They believe they are insulated by their status, but a society that allows injustice to burn eventually consumes everyone—even those who thought they were safe in the water.
True dignity is not found in selfish survival or looking away from someone’s pain. It is found in solidarity, compassion, and the courage to act.
We are all mortal. But when we look back on our lives, let it be with the knowledge that we lived with dignity—having lived to help, not to hide. Let us stand together, hold our leaders to the highest standards, and ensure that no one is left to face the fire alone. 🤝🤝
Be strong and keep doing.
Never give up one day you will succeed.
