Larry Tesler, the computer scientist responsible for the invention of Cut, Copy, and Paste, has passed away. In the late 70s, he worked with his colleague to create a word processor called Gypsy that introduced the “cut,” “copy,” and “paste” features for removing, duplicating, or repositioning chunks of text. His big contribution to the revolution of personal computing by making computers and mobile devices easier to use puts him in a history book as one of the influential people in modern computing.
