Meet Liam Strand!

Before entering academia, Liam spent years as a musician and entrepreneur, learning how to engage live audiences, social media, and storytelling. He quickly realized that many of these skills are just as valuable in science. After meeting Andreas during a course at Linköping University, he was inspired to take the Visualize your Science course and later joined the team in August 2025.

Having spent more time writing music than drawing, Liam relies on simple infographic-style visuals, using icons and cartoony illustrations. As the team's first social scientist, he brings perspectives from economics, ethics, and psychology that complement the natural science backgrounds of his colleagues.

We're delighted to have Liam on the team! Students can meet him in the Visualize your Science and Present your Science courses, while others may know him as the face behind our Instagram Reels.

Here are 3 reasons why you should print your next poster on fabric:

1. You can fold it into your suitcase, no bulky poster tube needed!
2. It's way more durable and easy to reuse for future conferences.
3. There's less risk of damage from pushpins or tape.

While not all printers offer fabric printing, and it can be a bit more expensive, it might be worth it if you'll be traveling to multiple conferences with the poster.

We are honored to add this poster by Carolina Månbro from Luleå University of Technology to our Poster Wall.
