Behind us are the following activities within an international project dedicated to the use of forum theater in working with young people and to combat discrimination and exclusion 🌍
During meetings and workshops, participants from different countries develop work-related competencies using socially engaged theater methods - based on dialogue, empathy and active participation. The project focuses on building a space to talk about prejudices, radicalization, inequality and experiences of marginalized people ❤️
Educational tools, local social activities and forum theatre performances with young people in different European countries are also being created as part of the activities 💛
During an intensive 8-day course, we will train 14 youth workers from Finland ( for Integration ry), France (Jeune Avenir Mondial), Macedonia (EDU-INCLUDE-Ohrid), Poland (Fantazmat Foundation), Romania (IPSI), Turkey (Aegean Youth) and Italy (FNISM TARANTO) in the practical use of Forum Theater methodology. As part of the training, there will also be a performance in English based on this method 💜
The training is conducted by Jarosław Rebeli Rebski - an experienced coach, theatrologist and drama educator, specializing in Forum Theater and working with theater methods in education and social activities 💚
In the next stage of the project, the participants, working in coaching duos, will perform their own shows in their countries, based on local contexts, as well as train other people. Materials and resources will also be created to enable the implementation of the Forum Theater methodology in different environments 💙
Below are a few pictures from one of the project days 📸
