OM Summer School 2026 Lesson Two – Shutter Speed ✨

Settle down back there – here's the second lesson of this year's OM Summer School! This weekend we want you to think about SHUTTER SPEED. Adjusting the shutter speed means you can capture a precise moment or show time passing: slow it down for silky smooth skies, flowing water or motion blur and traffic trails – or speed it up for precise detail and action shots like you wouldn't believe.

Advanced photographers: we want you to try this too! Can you keep one part of a shot still while another moves? How about swapping them around – blurring a subject while the background stays still, or keeping locked on a subject while panning for motion blur?
