A weekend full of good discussions about the role of a tour skating leader in risk management, and sometimes also as a risk creator. About permissible and not permissible risks, psychological safety and many other important issues. In addition, the program included practical exercises amongst the ice in the refreshing seawater, with and without a dry suit. A fun and rewarding weekend leading the safety course of Finnish Tour Skating Association's leadership training. Sitting on a smooth, sun-warmed granite cliff with a full stomach after a great meal, watching the sun sink behind distant archipelago islands after a full day of kayaking, it is hard to imagine life getting any better. Today marked the close of another three-day Hidden Gems of the Archipelago National Park guided expedition — and what a journey it was.
