In our series of introducing the moderators of the Navigate 2026 Nordic Maritime Expo we are happy to introduce Gary McCracken.

Gary McCracken is a Master Mariner and Senior Marine Consultant with more than 30 years of international experience in marine operations, pilotage, marine assurance, terminal management, and alternative fuel solutions. Throughout his career, Gary McCracken has held senior leadership positions across the UK, Angola, Nigeria, the Eastern Mediterranean, and the Arabian Gulf, including key roles with Chevron as Marine Manager, Senior Marine Advisor/Pilot, and Marine Process Authority.

Today, Gary McCracken works at SeaFocus as a Senior Advisor and at GHK Marine and Management Consultants Ltd, providing specialist consultancy and training to the maritime and energy sectors. Recognised for his practical expertise, safety leadership, and ability to guide constructive industry dialogue, Gary McCracken brings valuable insight and extensive operational experience to this discussion.
