It’s that time of year when Tavola trees (Polynesian or Sea Almond) start to lose their leaves, typically during the cooler, drier winter months in Fiji (June, July, and August).Before dropping, the leaves usually turn vibrant shades of pink, red, and yellow-brown. It’s doesn’t last long though, with fresh bright green shoots emerging soon after.

We talk a lot about pruning coconuts properly. We are very proud of what we do!! Whilst it’s easy to just hack some fronds off, it’s an art form to make it look amazing. The coconut palms open up, more air flow happens, more sky appears, the danger of falling nuts is removed and yet they still look completely natural.
Keeping them on a scheduled pruning schedule means our clients never have need to worry, we will take care of them :)

Pruning trees to open up the ocean view from the pool. The idea is to be wrapped in the trees whilst sitting in the pool, but to be able to see the sunset and the horizon. It would have been easy to just hack a big hole but we wanted it to look completely natural and untouched.
