Son of Kavewa Island returns home for the final time💔😭💔
The Final Journey Home of the Late Saiasi Rokovesa “ Tata Meki” 💔🕊️
Family and loved ones gathered at Labasa Hospital as the body of the late Saiasi Rokovesa, affectionately known as Lemeki, was received by his children and family for his final journey home.
His body was transported from Labasa Hospital to Vunivasa Landing, where his children lovingly accompanied him on the final voyage across the sea to his beloved home of Kavewa Island, Macuata, to be laid to rest among his people.
The day was more than a farewell, it is a celebration of a life lived with humility, compassion, and unwavering dedication to family, community, and faith. Lemeki was a man who carried himself with quiet strength, treated everyone with kindness and respect, and touched countless lives through his gentle spirit and generous heart.
Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the memories he leaves behind and the values he lived by will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. His life reminds us that the greatest legacy is found not in wealth or recognition, but in serving others, loving unconditionally, and making a difference in the lives of those around us.
As his children, family, friends, and the people of Kavewa accompany him on his final journey home, may they find comfort in knowing that his legacy will forever remain in their hearts. While his voice may be silent, his love, wisdom, and the impact of his life will never be forgotten.
To the Rokovesa family, the people of Kavewa Island, and all who mourn his passing, may God’s unfailing love embrace you, grant you strength during this difficult time, and fill your hearts with the peace that comes from cherished memories.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
Moce mada, Tata Meki. 💔🕊️
Your journey has reached its peaceful end. Return now to your beloved island home of Kavewa, where your family and loved ones await your homecoming. May your soul rest in eternal peace, and may your memory continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten 😭💔😭
