Taskforce Daimani Tolu

UNDOF Chief of Staff - Colonel Pratyush Kumar, YSM visited Camp Zouanni on Friday 18 March 2022. In the spirit of international comradeship Taskforce Daimani 2 and the Indian Contingent conducted a camp guard salute to welcome him.

It was an overcast and cold spring day but it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the Guard Commander - Sergeant Punal Naicker who is the our Taskforce Q1 Logistics Clerk. Sergeant Naicker, who proudly hails from Batinikama, Namoli in Labasa said it was an emotional moment for him to lead the guard. "I was proud to lead the guard for the first time and represent Fiji on that auspicious occasion", he said.

The COS was accorded an ops brief and a walking tour of the camp before he was hosted by the CO and the OC of INDICON to a morning tea at the Green Turtle - our camp coffee bar.

After the morning tea he visited the troops at Pos 22 and enjoyed lunch with them. The CO also presented him a gift from us. We look forward to more visits by the COS as we continue to support the mission's imperatives in the Area of Operations on the Occupied Golan.
