To everyone spreading false stories about me and my previous business premises, NAKAULEVU, NAVUA. I want to make something very clear, no drugs were ever found at my shop or kava bar. Please stop spreading lies and damaging my name and reputation.
The issue was a tenancy and legal matter between myself and the landlord. The landlord wanted me to vacate the property, so I peacefully moved my business assets and equipment out with my team and legal assistance because proper procedures were not followed from the landlord’s side.
The kava bar structure and assets were bought legally by me from the previous tenants. The landlord is now claiming the kava bar belonged to her because she did not approve of the sale happening on her property. However, if the previous tenants had removed the structure themselves, it would have been demolished or taken away anyway. Since I purchased it and continued renting the premises, I had every reason to remove my own business assets when leaving.
While moving out, police were called to the property to stop me from demolishing the kava bar, which caused many people to assume false things. Let me repeat again: there were no drugs found there, and this situation had nothing to do with drugs or illegal activities.
The property was also cleaned properly before we left. I have photos and videos showing there was no damage inside or outside the shop. In fact, when the property was first handed over to me, it was dusty and dirty from the previous tenants, and I was the one who cleaned and maintained the place during my tenancy. When we left, the premises were left clean and in good condition.
Even my $6,000 bond/deposit has still not been returned to me. According to her lawyer, once everything is finalized, it should be handed back to me because I have already paid off everything that needed to be paid. I do not owe them anything.
On top of that, I also spent thousands of dollars around $8,000 paying for the landlord’s lawyer and bailiff fees during the process of closing down the shop.
$8,000 gone out of my pocket, what a waste of money. All I wanted was to continue running my business over a late payment of one month, just $2,000…..
Speaking woman to woman in business, if there was a genuine heart for supporting and investing in women entrepreneurs, decisions like this would not lead to wasted resources or missed opportunities. Since I left on 28 July 2025, the property has remained unoccupied even now. In business, empty spaces speak for themselves. True growth comes from understanding people’s struggles and creating value, not just focusing inward. I’ll leave it at that, the truth is already clear.
I am a hardworking mother and businesswoman trying to move forward peacefully and rebuild. People may gossip, but truth will always remain truth…. Picture below 👇 Me & Landlord…..
