The Rugby Factory Academy continued its second development clinic session with the Burenitu Roosters at Naboutini Village, Serua โ another positive step in building grassroots rugby league.
Academy Director Selo Sanawa highlighted the strong growth and rising interest within the club, noting the playersโ commitment and eagerness to improve. He was especially impressed with the teamโs current fitness and conditioning levels, showing that the foundation for development is already taking shape.
Todayโs session focused heavily on the fundamentals โ positioning drills, game situations, running lines, rucks, 10m drills, agility, and core rugby league basics. A key emphasis was placed on tightening the edges and strengthening the middle, reinforcing the importance of discipline and structure in the game.
Sanawa stressed that success in rugby league always comes back to mastering the basics โ a message clearly embraced by the players.
It was encouraging to witness the progress within the club, especially as some players prepare to take up overseas contracts in Australia and employment opportunities. This reflects the hard work and vision of both the club committee and the players themselves.
The journey is just beginning, and the growth is evident.
