Since January, sheβs shed 7kg and 17cm (and nearly 15kg since she started training with us 6 years ago!), and sheβs still going strong! ππͺπ Here are a few great lessons we can all learn from her journey so far:
βοΈDon't stress over daily scale jumps: Water weight, hormones, toilet habits, sleep fluctuate - and that affects your daily weight. Ms N uses weekly averages so a bad day or two doesn't derail her progress. That is body weight going up and down - not fat. Put your focus on long-term fat loss, not what the scale reads each day.
βοΈFood is the real game-changer: Even while recovering from injury and unable to work out, she kept losing weight simply by managing what she eats and drinks.
Itβs a marathon, not a sprint: Weight loss isn't perfectly straight down. It jumps and drops, but staying consistent and getting back on track after an off-plan meal or a mini-binge is the true secret to keeping it off.
βοΈMs N is just like the rest of us - she just makes smart choices day-after-day. If she can do it, you can too!

If you can't make Thursday, think about making a grocery list to help with your food planning and tracking, or choose and repeat simple meals all week to take out guess work and fluctuating calories, and try tracking weekly weight averages, not focusing on daily - or once-a-week weigh ins.

Final Team Photo Tuesday for Term 3. π€©πͺπ
That must mean our final Thursday session for Term 3 is coming up. We say it every term, its a GREAT time to join us. Come and try one our sessions, understand what we mean by fully adjustable sessions for beginners through to advanced, about listening to your body, starting slow - and realising you are more than capable! And then plan to join us for Term 4 on Tuesday 30 June.
We're back at Veiuto Primary on Thursday, 5.30pm. Join us. $10, bring a towel and water and a "can do" approach! We'll look after the rest.

Making smart choices day after day matters. Your workouts matter, but what you do away from workouts matters just as much.
Make sure you get some movement in on most days, but more importantly, really watch what you eat and drink. Have more well planned, calorie controlled meals than bad ones. And if you over eat or make some poor choices, get back on track next meal. One bad meal won't derail progress ... it just delays it.
Consistently making smart choices is your secret weapon. Use it.
