“Meet the Guests”

This past week we had a very special guest, Antoine Buche, french, that was happy to answer our questions!

- What brings you to Pico and to Lajes do Pico? Is it your first time?

Its not my first time, it’s my 5th time, I came 4 years ago with friends and they told me to come here to Espaço Talassa to see whales and I did 2 trips and ended up booking for the rest of the week. Now, every year at the same time I come here!

- Have you been WW before? Where? Differences?

No, here it was my first time.

- What was your favorite of the Azorean species?

It’s the Blue Whale! On my second trip I saw blue whales and then for 3 years nothing, and this year finally saw them again and it was a fluker!!

- Is there a species that you would like to see here?

Orcas!

-What was the highlights of the trips for you?

The fluke from the Blue whale, absolutely! And the snow on Pico, never saw it like this before.
