We just received a donation from Drop Dead Generous to buy miswaks for the people we support in Calais!

A miswak is a natural teeth-cleaning stick made from the Salvadora persica tree — used for centuries across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. No toothpaste needed, no running water needed. For many of the people we support, it's not a novelty — it's simply what they know from home. In a place where so much has been taken away, having access to something familiar matters more than you might think.

Thanks to this donation, we were able to buy a huge bulk supply — enough to last us a good while.
