โ˜€๏ธ What if summer became a chance to grow your green skills? โ™ป๏ธ

Summer often means rest, travel or student jobs... but itโ€™s also the perfect time to adopt more sustainable habits ๐ŸŒ

Here are 5 simple actions for a more sustainable summer ๐ŸŒฟ and a boost to your future career ๐Ÿ‘‡

1๏ธโƒฃ Eat local & seasonal: support local economies while cutting your carbon footprint.
๐Ÿง  Skill: systems thinking & responsible consumption.

2๏ธโƒฃ Travel differently: try train journeys, car sharing, or slow tourism.
๐Ÿง  Skill: informed decision-making.

3๏ธโƒฃ Reduce waste: say no to single-use plastics and explore low-waste living.
๐Ÿง  Skill: individual and collective action.

4๏ธโƒฃ Get involved locally: volunteering, community initiatives, or leading workshops.
๐Ÿง  Skill: collaboration and active engagement.

5๏ธโƒฃ Keep learning: dive into podcasts, MOOCs or books on sustainability and circular economy.
๐Ÿง  Skill: lifelong learning.

๐Ÿ‘‰ These small choices build real green competences, increasingly valued by employers across all sectors.

๐Ÿ’ผ Embedding sustainability into your everyday life is already shaping you into a thoughtful, future-ready professional.

๐Ÿ’ฌ What sustainable habits are you embracing this summer?

๐ŸŒโœจ What if a card game could help you build the sustainability skills needed for the future?

As part of the GREENVERSITY project, we've created a deck of 52 cards designed to help students explore and develop the sustainability competences identified by GreenComp.

๐Ÿƒ The challenge?
Discover the knowledge, skills and attitudes that can help you tackle today's environmental and social challenges.

๐Ÿ’ก Use the cards to:
๐ŸŒฑ Reflect on sustainability issues
๐Ÿค Work collaboratively with others
๐Ÿš€ Imagine solutions for a more sustainable future
๐ŸŽ“ Connect your learning experiences to real-world impact

Already tested in workshops, the game has helped participants identify the sustainability competences they are already developing through projects, discussions and future-thinking activities.

๐Ÿ“ Curious to try it?
Join us at the RITM-BFC Conference in Dijon for a dedicated workshop on sustainability competences.

๐Ÿ“… 8 July
โฐ 4:30โ€“6:00 pm

The future needs people who can think critically, collaborate effectively and act sustainably. Why not start exploring these competences today? ๐ŸŒฟ

๐Ÿ’ฌ Would you like to try the game at your university? Let us know in the comments!

๐ŸŒฑ What if sustainability wasn't just one courseโ€ฆ but part of everything you study?

We asked students:

๐Ÿ‘‰ How can universities better prepare us for the environmental and social challenges ahead?

Their answers are clear:

๐Ÿ’ก More real-world projects
๐Ÿค More collaboration between disciplines
๐ŸŒ Sustainability in every degree programme
๐ŸŽ“ Recognition of green skills and competences
๐Ÿš€ More opportunities to create real impact

๐ŸŒฑ GREENVERSITY is moving forward!

On 28 May, once our training programme has been completed, GREENVERSITY partners came together at Universitรฉ Bourgogne Europe to review progress and prepare the next stages of the project. ๐Ÿš€

The focus? Developing innovative learning opportunities and sustainability skills that empower all learners to meet the challenges of tomorrow. ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ’š

Great progress has been made, and exciting new resources will soon be available!

๐Ÿค Together, we are helping to build a more sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready higher education environment ๐ŸŒโœจ

We are delighted by this collective international collaboration and shared commitment towards a more sustainable future for higher education ๐ŸŽ“๐ŸŒฑ

A huge thank you to Universitรฉ Bourgogne Europe for its warm welcome โ€” quite literally โ€” as well as to the Le Cortex and the IUVV (University Institute for Vine and Wine Studies) for providing their facilities.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all the stakeholders who contributed to the success of this seminar, and to all participants for their commitment to the project.

Last but not least, Day 3 of our training programme at ๐Ÿซ was both inspiring and enriching.

After the traditional welcome coffee, the day focused on the analysis of motivating initiatives and networking strategies, encouraging participants to exchange ideas, share experiences and strengthen international collaboration.

We then wrapped up this enriching event with a closing ceremony celebrating three days of collective learning, cooperation and commitment towards more sustainable higher education ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒฑ

Since Tuesday, international lecturers, trainers, educational developers and project partners have come together around one shared ambition: integrating sustainability across all higher education programmes.

Beyond theory, the challenge is clear: how can higher education equip learners with the real skills and competencies needed to face todayโ€™s planetary challenges? ๐ŸŽ“

Through collaboration, innovation and the exchange of practices, we are collectively rethinking the future of education for sustainability.

Relive Day 2 of our training programme at ๐Ÿซ, fully dedicated to pedagogical methodologies across the different areas of GREENVERSITY.

The day focused on exploring innovative teaching approaches and practical tools to support the integration of sustainability competencies into higher education programmes.

We concluded the day with a dinner at Restaurant in the city centre of Dijon.
The restaurant was selected as part of a local initiative promoting places committed to a more sustainable approach ๐ŸŒฑ

๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒฑ Until this afternoon, international university lecturers, trainers, educational developers and project partners will continue working together on one key question: โ€œHow can universities integrate sustainability across all degree programmes?โ€

In other words, how can higher education move beyond theory towards genuine competence in order to prepare students for the planetary challenges ahead? ๐ŸŽ“

Day 1 of our training programme at was a great success ๐Ÿซ

Following a series of opening presentations delivered by some of the project leaders and governance, the programme continued with the presentation and review of WP2.

The afternoon focused on revising the E-Course for Educators which focuses on on how to implement the CORE Framework. Our Framework translates the European Commissionโ€™s GreenComp framework into measurable learning outcomes for the classroom.

The day concluded with a visit to the Philippe Le Bon Tower โ€” which takes 366 steps to climb! โ€” where climate scientist Benjamin Pohl from Biogรฉosciences - UBE CNRS EPHE talked about the Response Project, part of NetZero Cities.
