Context Matters

Today, the boundaries between technology and nature are blurring. Mathieu Merlet Briand’s sculptures explore this, by reimagining data storage through geological forms inspired by the Gulf’s landscapes.
His rock-like formations symbolize the crystallization of digital memory, as though emulating nature’s own resilient storage systems. By materializing data into tangible forms, these artworks prompt crucial questions for journalism.
