For Part 2 of our Italian cycling adventure we moved from the jagged peaks of the Dolomites to the winding roads of the Italian Alps. We climbed the legendary Stelvio Pass to its daunting summit at 2758m to soak in breathtaking views of its 38 switchbacks from Bormio - the stuff that cycling dreams are made of! We then took a short detour into Switzerland for a scenic picnic lunch on the Umbrail Pass. On our final day we experienced the wild beauty of Gavia Pass – remote, raw, and unforgettable. Lunch by the lake with some brave souls jumping in, what a way to end our tour!
