🌿 Homemade Shikanji Masala Powder
Ingredients:
* Cumin seeds (jeera)
* Black pepper
* Fennel seeds (saunf)
* Green cardamom
* Cloves
* Black salt (kala namak)
* Rock salt (sendha namak)
* Dry ginger powder (saunth)
* Dry mango powder (amchur)
* Mishri (rock sugar)
Method:
1. In a pan, dry roast cumin seeds, black pepper, fennel seeds, cardamom, cloves, black salt, and rock salt on low heat until aromatic.
2. Let the mixture cool completely.
3. Transfer to a grinder.
4. Add dry ginger powder, dry mango powder, and mishri.
5. Grind into a fine powder.
6. Store in an airtight container.
To Make Shikanji:
* Add 1 tsp of the masala to a glass of cold water
* Add fresh mint and a little green chili (optional)
* Mix well and serve chilled 🍹
