“A dream come true.” That is how singer-songwriter and artist Jewel described presenting her first major visual art exhibition during La Biennale di Venezia.

Titled Matriclysm: An Archaeology of Connections Lost, the exhibition is presented at Salone Verde in Venice through Nov. 22, in association with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Revealing a visual language that extends far beyond music, Jewel explores memory, feminine lineage, rupture and healing through a body of work spanning sculpture, tapestry, painting, sound and immersive installation, all staged within a highly atmospheric scenography.

Among her most striking works is Heart of the Ocean, developed in collaboration with NASA, transforming environmental data into light and sound, alongside choral compositions inspired by the Pleiades constellation.
