There's a new name in the EPC family, and it comes from Bucharest! 🇷🇴
We are delighted to welcome Radu Stancu and Ioana Lăscăr of deFilm, Romania, as new EPC members!
Founded in Bucharest in 2009 by Radu Stancu and now run by Radu and Ioana as partners, deFilm began with independent short films and has since grown into feature films, documentaries and international co-productions.
Their projects have connected Romania with partners across Europe, Latin America and Asia, built on long-term relationships with filmmakers and producers from different territories.
deFilm's films and co-productions have been presented at major festivals including Berlin, Cannes, Venice, Locarno, and IDFA, with Radu and Ioana working as lead producers, co-production partners and production service providers for international projects shot or post-produced in Romania. Beyond production, they have contributed to Romanian film industry policy, including working groups with the Ministry of Culture and the Romanian Alliance of Film Producers on the revision of the national cinematography framework.
