PARIS: Bourse de Commerce - Pinault Collection

Céleste Boursier- Mougeno (FR, 1961) transformed the rotunda of the into a multi-sensual installation that is purely analog, as both the sound and movements are created by the free floating of the ceramic bowls drifting casually in the aquatic blue water basin.

The installation “clinamen” creates an enchanting stage and contemplative atmosphere, where visitors are automatically drawn to linger, to watch, or even to contemplate.

The installation has brilliantly illustrated the Epicurean philosophy of “clinamen”, which refers to the unpredictable and slight deviation of atoms.
