on the inside out cut of the A-side on ’s “Partly Cloudy” (LIP016):
“Inside out records (playing from inside to outside) are usually a gimmick but it CAN be beneficial to the record’s sound quality as a whole. This is one I cut for and ”
The A-side of the record is cut “inside-out,” placing the more club-oriented tracks on the outer grooves to preserve high-frequency detail, as tracks closer to the center of a record tend to lose high-frequency content during playback.
