L Boogz

L Boogz, real name Laurence Ekperigin, is a hip hop artist and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York, currently based in Israel where he plays professional basketball for the Israeli National League.

Growing up in Brooklyn, the artist moved to Westchester County, New York, to attend high school at the age of 14. Laurence has played basketball internationally for years such as in Nantes and Nanterre in France to then move on to Israel. Following an injury in France, L Boogz took the time to explore his creative outlets, namely through music. He ventured into hip hop, with honest lyricism paired with melodic productions, finding inspiration in artists like Kendrick Lama, Jay-Z and Outkast. With his work evolving, his matured sound paved the way for collaboration with other artists such as Dee Davis, Destiny Guichard, and Gio.

Staying authentic and close to his family are key approaches L Boogz takes with life and his music. Learning from others is key for the rapper, as he’s always striving to be better at what he does in order to break barriers and produce fresh, new sounds.

He’ll be releasing several singles in 2020.
