Aberdeen Springfield Church News for Sunday 19th July 2026:

Monday morning – Cyrenians collection from 10 – 11 a.m. but unfortunately NO Fairtrade Stall or Jean’s Jams.

EVERY WEDNESDAY our PRAYER GROUP meets in the Douglas Lounge at 10.30 a.m. Coffee and fellowship will follow. All welcome.

Coffee Chat & Companionship (C.C.C.) the fourth Wednesday of every month. The group is open to everyone whatever their age who enjoy meeting others over a coffee, for some company and a chat. Douglas Lounge at Springfield Church, where you will be made most welcome". Next meeting on Wednesday 22nd July at 2.30 p.m.

"The next meeting of Springfield Seniors’ Group will take place on Wednesday 5th August from 2pm-4pm. Sonia Gow will be talking to us about her family’s holidays in Japan. Join us for tea, a fine piece and some excellent chat."

PRAYER TOPICS
1. Prayer for Venezuela Earthquake Relief and Recovery Pray for comfort, healing, and swift relief for those affected in Venezuela, and for successful rescue efforts.
2. Prayer for Wisdom and Peace Among World Leaders Pray for wisdom, humility, and compassion for world leaders as they respond to global crises.
3. Prayer for Unity, Protection, and Strength in Our Church Pray for unity, protection from division, and strength to faithfully serve God as a church.

MEDITATION
Summer is a season of warmth, growth, and abundance. The longer days and brighter skies remind us of God's faithfulness, as creation flourishes under His care. Fields are filled with harvest, flowers bloom in their beauty, and nature quietly proclaims the goodness of the Creator. Just as the sun nourishes the earth, God's love strengthens and renews our hearts. Summer invites us to pause from the busyness of life and appreciate the blessings that often go unnoticed—time with family, the beauty of creation, and the gift of each new day. It is also a reminder that every season has its purpose. The fruits we enjoy in summer are the result of seeds planted with patience and care, much like the spiritual growth that comes through trusting God. The Bible reminds us in Ecclesiastes 3:1, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." Summer encourages us to embrace the season God has given us with gratitude, knowing that He is present in every chapter of our lives. As we enjoy the warmth of summer, may we also seek to reflect the light of Christ to those around us. May our words bring encouragement, our actions bear the fruit of the Spirit, and our lives become a testimony of God's grace and love.
