You may have noticed a large emergency service presence on Bromsgrove Road, Studley yesterday. We were in attendance to close the road in order to assist our Warwickshire Fire and Rescue buddies from Alcester, Henley and Worcester. They had been called to a fire that started in a field but quickly spread due to dry conditions and wind. Thankfully the fire was brought under control quickly and everyone was ok. Due to increased calls of similar incidents, we thought we would help to share some advise to assist WFRS around agricultural wild fires due to the continued dry conditions and the current risks. Six of our police stations now have publicly accessible defibrillators outside.
The defibs have come about through our work with the OurJay Foundation, a Rugby-based charity that is working to make more of the life-saving devices available.
They’re now ready to save lives outside the following stations:
Alcester (B49 5DZ)
Bedworth (CV12 8NH)
Leamington Justice Centre (CV32 4EL)
Rugby (CV21 2DH)
Stratford (CV37 6RD)
Nuneaton Justice Centre (CV11 4JU)
We already have a defib capability, with 28 defibrillators installed in specialist police cars across the county.
The OurJay Foundation was set up after the tragic death of 18-year-old Jamie from Rugby, who collapsed on New Years’ Day in 2022.

Theft of Motorbike
Yesterday at approximately 15:40hrs, a Husqvarna motorbike was stolen from the Waitrose car park in Alcester.
Unfortunately, CCTV coverage did not extend to the location of the incident, and no footage was captured.
As you are aware, the ongoing Bikers Festival at Ragley Hall attracts thousands of visitors each year, and historically we see an increase in motorbike thefts associated with this event.
Please ensure you take extra precautions to secure your motorcycles. This includes:
Using appropriate locks and immobilisers
Parking in well-lit and busy areas where possible
Remaining vigilant and reporting any suspicious activity
Your cooperation is appreciated in helping reduce the risk of further incidents.

Think Bike! 🏍️
The Adventure Bike Rider Festival is at Ragley Hall, Alcester over the next few days. You may have noticed a lot of motorbikes on the roads leading to and around Alcester. We hope that those attending ride safe and have a great weekend.
Due to a number of motorbikes being stolen at ABR events previously, we will be showing a presence to try and deter any thefts but please follow the link below for keeping your bike secure.
We have had two motorbikes stolen from the Studley area in the past week and SNT are assisting with enquiries to try and identify who may be responsible. The offenders arrived on motorbikes (which are most likely stolen also) and were only wearing balaclavas or face coverings. I would like to think most people would see this and think ; 1. it's illegal to ride a motorbike without a helmet and 2. they are possibly up to no good with a balaclava.
Please be vigilant and report to police straight away if you see any crime taking place or believe individuals are acting suspiciously.
