Studio 3
Studio 3 is an international training and clinical organisation specialising in behaviour support.
In this short video, Andy talks about the Studio 3 360 assessment approach.
When someone is distressed, overwhelmed or misunderstood, there is rarely one simple answer.
Studio 3 360 helps families and support teams look at the whole picture, from communication and sensory experience to relationships, environment and care context.
The aim is clearer understanding, better support and a more consistent response around the person.

When someone is distressed, withdrawn or overwhelmed, the answer is rarely simple.
That is why we look at the whole picture.
Communication.
Sensory experience.
Relationships.
Environment.
Stress.
Trauma.
Family and care context.
Each part can shape what a person needs and how they respond to the world around them.
A 360 assessment helps families, schools and care teams build a shared understanding of what may be happening.
That shared understanding matters.
It means the people around the person are less likely to work from different assumptions.
It means support can become more consistent.
It means the response can move away from managing behaviour and towards understanding need.
For us, this is the point of assessment.
Not labels for their own sake.
Better understanding.
Better support.
Better responses.

Autism can be missed when people are only looking for one version of it.
Families often come to assessment after months or years of trying to make sense of patterns that do not always fit the obvious explanations.
A thoughtful autism assessment looks at the whole person.
How they experience the world.
What feels hard.
What helps them feel safe.
What happens at home, at school or in care.
What others may have missed.
For many families, the value of assessment is not only the diagnosis.
It is the moment things begin to make sense.
It can give families clearer language, better understanding and a more confident way to support the person in front of them.
At the moment, we have no waiting list for autism assessments, so if you feel an assessment could help your family, you can contact us via https://www.studio3.org/assessments-and-diagnostics

Restlessness is often judged before it is understood.
We have met many children, young people and adults who have spent years being described as careless, disruptive, impulsive or difficult.
Those words can follow a person.
They can also stop people asking a better question.
What is this behaviour telling us?
What is the person trying to manage?
What support has been missing?
ADHD assessments should help move the conversation away from blame and towards understanding.
They can help families make sense of attention, energy, emotion, overwhelm and the effort it can take to get through everyday demands.
For us, the aim is not to explain behaviour away.
It is to understand it well enough to respond differently.
At the moment, we have no waiting list for ADHD assessments.
