🌅 Sometimes the best nights are the ones that don't go to plan...

Last Friday our caterer had to cancel at very short notice and for a moment we weren't sure what was going to happen. But then — as always seems to happen here at The GrowForward Project — our wonderful community stepped in. 🤍

Our brilliant friend Gianna, her daughter and husband rolled up their sleeves and cooked the most delicious pasta feast for everyone — ferried out from the back kitchen, through a window and another door to get to the hungry crowd outside. 😄 It was chaotic, it was warm, it was perfect.

And if that wasn't enough — Kit, Gianna's son in law, picked up a trumpet and played the most stunning improvisations as the sun went down, along with with the beautiful Tia Meraki weaving her poetry and songs it was pure magic. 🎺🌅

This is exactly what community looks like and we are so grateful for every single person who made it special. 🤍

This is what Sundown Songs is really about.

No experience needed whatsoever — if you can thread a needle, you're ready. All materials and tuition are provided and you'll leave with your very own beautiful piece of wearable or displayable art. 🤍✨

First — a huge heartfelt thank you to the beautiful Tia Meraki for last week's magical evening. Her poetry and songs was everything we hoped for and more. 🤍

This Friday we welcome the brilliant Jacob Terry— a North Devon singer-songwriter whose heartfelt storytelling, powerful vocals and mind-blowing harmonies fuse folk, pop and rock into something truly special. 🎶

And this week we have a very exciting new addition to the arches — food from Sunset Farm Kitchen! 🙌 A popular North Devon van bringing a gorgeous array of delicious, traditional farmhouse cooking. We cannot wait. 🍽️

🧺 What a gorgeous Sunday we had here at TheGrowForward Project!

Our basket weaving workshop with the wonderful Jane was just the most perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon — hands busy, minds calm and everyone going home with something beautiful they made themselves. Just look at those smiles! 😍🌿
