BUSTED: regular, moderate activity helps strengthen and maintain your muscles. This is important because muscles are active tissue, which means they use energy even when they’re not being used and so the stronger they are the more energy they’ll burn, helping you lose weight. Looking to up the filling power of your meals? Wholewheat versions of pasta, noodles, bread and rice have more fibre than white versions AND up to 70% more nutrients. If you’re new to wholewheat, try mixing 50:50 white and wholewheat pasta (just allow a bit of extra cooking time).
