Congrats Morrisons Basingstoke on raising £11,347 for Marie Curie!🥳

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Liz, a local RAF veteran, public speaker and author.

We spoke about how we can do more locally to support veterans in Basingstoke, but also how we can inspire the next generation through our cadets.

Cadets learn so much more than drill or uniform. They build confidence, discipline, teamwork, leadership and resilience. Those are skills that can open doors in any future career, whether that is in the armed forces or in civilian life.

I’m hoping to work with Liz in the future on some exciting local events that bring veterans and young people together, recognise the contribution of those who have served, and show cadets just how valuable the skills they are learning really are.
