With The 2024 Euros kicking off in Germany this week, football fans are gearing up for some thrilling matches. But research by RingGo into the driving experiences of football fans across the UK reveals that one-third (34%) say finding somewhere to park near the stadium is one of the biggest stress factors.

Our research also found that:
-One-third of football fans (34%) spend more than 15 minutes searching for a space on match days
-One in 10 fans (9%) have been forced to drive around looking for somewhere to park for at least 30 minutes
-One-sixth (16%) have left matches early to avoid parking fines
-One in seven (14%) have received a fine for overstaying their parking session

Almost a quarter of UK fans (23%) going to Germany for the tournament will travel by car, causing potential congestion in host cities. Digital parking solutions like RingGo make parking easier and cities more liveable during big sporting events.
