Finally the statues of Mary Ann McCracken and Winifred Carney can be seen in the grounds of the City Hall. Lovely to see these activists for social justice commemorated. Mary Ann is a particular hero of mine. Well into her 80s she was handing out anti-slavery leaflets on the docks!
